♥♥ Valentine's Day ♥♥

Valentine's Day was a lot like any other day around here. Just with extra parties, and lot's of candy! I try and make holidays fun for the kids. I am sure Clint thinks I am over dramatic, but Oh, well!

♥♥♥
So first things first...I was so excited to do the girls hair this year! I saw this Hair-Do on a website a while ago. They turned out pretty festive!

The rest of Valentine's Day was fun. I finally got to go on a date with my husband!! (It's been a while.) We ended up at Mongolian BBQ, because the lines at all the restaurants were too busy! Well too busy for me--I am way impatient. It worked out perfectly though, because we got to go see the movie "Just Go With It". It was a cute romantic comedy. If you can stand Adam Sandler humor, I recommend it. Clint got me flowers, I bought him a box of swiss cake rolls. Then we got the kids a box of chocolates each! (Winco .88 cents) I also left them all a "love letter" telling them how much I love them! So what did the kids do yesterday?! Well they hung out with my friend, Nila. Who brought them movies, and candy! We bought them a heart shape pizza for dinner, along with heart shape paper plates.

We all had a very fun day! Happy Valentine's Everyone!! ♥

The "Graciedo"

Why is it... that every time I remember to take a picture of Addy's hair... she has managed to mess it up!? So I remembered to quickly snap this one today, before it got anymore messed up. We call this the "Graciedo". Only for the fact that my friend who showed me how to do this style--does it to her daughter--who's name happens to be Gracie! So you just start with little ponytails at the front. Then divide each one in 1/2, bringing it together with the 1/2 of the little ponytail next to it. The only ponytails you don't divide in 1/2 are the last ones on both sides. Hope that makes sense. Pull it into a big ponytail, a messy bun, leave it down, curl, whatever. It just looks fun.

Costume Sneak Peek

This year we are all going as bugs for Halloween! I have been very excited about this, because I am making Clint dress up with us this year! So here is a sneak peek of our costumes… Addyson is the Bumblebee. (Had to snap a couple of her hair!! ;]) Tyson is a Spider. Kaitlon is our Ladybug, cause she is our Katie Bug. Preston is a Fly. I am dressing up as a Butterfly. The reason I am so excited about Clint’s costume… he is going as the Orkin Man/Bug Exterminator. I can’t wait to get us all dressed up together. In the meantime we had a Halloween Party to go to, and couldn’t resist some snapshots of the kids!! 002 004 005 007 008 011

Getting "Knot"-y!!

I am enjoying this new hair fixin' hobby of mine. So today's "do"...KNOTS!!

It's way easy, and cute. Wish I could take credit for this brilliant idea...but it isn't mine. :/ So here is a tutorial, and the "mind" behind it:

Eileen’s Wedding

My Sister-in-law, Eileen, got married Saturday! We had a good time. Weddings are always hard with 4 small kids, and we had a big assignment, but we survived. Here are some things about our day.2010-09-25

Addy’s hair: Since she was a flower girl, I was going to take her to get her hair done, but I ran out of time, and had to do it myself. I think it turned out really pretty. I put it in a tight ponytail, then pulled pieces of the ponytail into Hot Sticks. I then clipped flowers up into it to create a fancy bun look. I think it turned out pretty cute. It stayed in most of the day—which was my goal.003

This was the Canopy that Clint built:007 009 011 013 So talk about a  project!! I don’t think that either one of us realized what a pain this cute little canopy was going to be. Clint has amazing talent, and I have great shopping skills… the total for this was $50.00. Eileen asked Clint to make this for her, and I think it turned out really pretty. It did have a few complications, and now that we have done it once, we will know exactly what to do different next time. It really was a neat, and a pretty thing to get married under.                                    020 COUSINS: Really do I need to say more?! We love our cousins. The kids all have sooo much fun together. We couldn’t have asked for better cousins, and best friends. It makes us sad sometimes that we live so far from them. Such cute kids!!087 2010-09-251

My favorite picture of the whole wedding, is the “Silly Face Flower Girls”. These girls did a great job!! And I owe them ICE CREAM. (I didn’t forget, Aubree :]) 098Daddy-Daughter Dance: There is something about a “Daddy-Daughter Dance” That just gets my emotions flowing!! Um, probably the fact that I am 100% Daddy’s girl!! I love this picture. I love that my girls love their Daddy.                                     159 Tyson Catching The Garter: He said, “What do I do with this?” We told him it was just silly, and made him give it away. 091Wedding Photography: I will admit, I like to pretend that I am a professional photographer. Okay, really I know I’m not. I did however sneak in a few cute shots of my kiddos. I love taking pictures of my kids, and especially when they are all dressed up cute. So here are a few of my favorites!162 177166

Crimping My Style!!

I've been wanting to try to style Addy's hair different ways lately. I just don't have time or patience! :P So last night I braided her hair ALL OVER. When she woke up this morning I took it out, and it looked really cute!! All crimped, and cute!!! It was very easy!! Hair Tip: Put Hair gel in it before you braid. It helped hold the wave!! :) She kinda looked like a little Rock-n-Roll Diva!!

Hair Fixin' Hubby!

Since these were on the camera, I figured I would take a minute to harass, be jealous of my hubby. He can french braid...but I cannot. :( What are the odds?!?

A Little off the Top

004 001 002 003

Kaitlon has had a bit of a come-over for a while now. So we decided to clean it up a little. I am very glad that Clint has had some training when it comes to hair cuts. He cuts the boys’ hair, and can trim anything that is needed. Although, I haven’t braved letting him trim mine. :) It looks great now!! I am very pleased. She did pretty well—she just kept trying to look at everyone.

Spongey Curlers

I tried Addy's hair in sponge curlers for the first time. I washed her hair before bed time last night, added lot's of gel, and then took section's, and rolled them. I put a hair net over it, and she slept on them all night. It didn't seem to bother her at all. So here it is with all the curlers in it!! Here it is this morning:
Here is the back view:
I thought it turned out pretty cute!! :)

Addy's New Hair-Do!

The New Hair-do bug finally bit! I was waiting for it! I always go through this phase either right after I have a baby or right before. You know...the one where you hate the way you look and you just have to change something! Since the magic "take the baby weight off-and it will stay off pill" hasn't yet been invented you resort to cutting your hair! Well I did. I took off about 3 1/2 inches I think. It's basically the same hair cut, just shorter. I needed to chop off some really dried out dead ends! It feels wonderful, much lighter now! Sorry about the pic. I had to resort to the fabulous mirror shot! I took Addyson to get her hair cut too! It again isn't much, just the basic fine baby ends. Daddy says her hair has to be long, so I couldn't do anything too drastic! This way it can hopefully grow better. Melissa did a wonderful job with her! I was very impressed with how entertained she kept her. Addy held pretty still for her too! Here are some cute little pictures of our munchkins first professional hair cut! I think I am going to have to make this a Mommy-Daughter tradition. Thanks Shannon for holding Kaitlon too! :)

We love Melissa! She is awesome!! :)

I love this face!!
