15 weeks to go!!

We saw the Ultrasound specialist today. We got a thorough check of Kailton. Her kidney's and heart look great. We got a clear shot of her aortic valve and all 4 chambers of the heart. She said her fluids were excellent. Right now Kaitlon weighs 1.5 lbs. Her legs are long. (well they look long) I think she is going to be a dancer!! She is measuring right on. She said July 10Th looks right. We'll see...maybe I will deliver one baby on it's due date. She did not like the ultrasound wand...every time she rolled over her legs she would kick at her. She has squished herself up. She is head down, basically folded in half!
She looks so sweet in this picture!
This is her foot!
This is her little bum shot--she is 100% girl! Not very modest either. (We will work on that.)
Here is a picture of her arm behind her head. She has such a little elbow!
We can't wait to get her here. We know she will be a joy to add to our little family!

Oh, the things they come up with!!

Today I picked Tyson up from preschool. As we were driving home I asked him the usual; "How was your day?", "What did you do?", "Did you learn anything new?". As we continue driving home he says, "Mom when I grow up I want to be a doctor." I told him that is very nice Tyson. I asked him what kind of doctor he wanted to be. He said "Me not know mom." I told him that there were lot's of doctors. Doctor's for kids, doctor's for hearts, brain's, ears, doctor's to take care of babies while they were in the mommy's tummy. He then said, "Ya-me want to take care of babies in mommy's tummys." I told him that is a great idea Tyson. Then he said, "Momma, what does Daddy want to be when he grows up?" I laughed hysterically and told Tyson that Daddy wanted to be a counselor when he grew up. Then Tyson said, "Momma you already grewed up-huh?!?" I just laughed and laughed! Obviously Daddy is more of the "Big Kid" in our family!! I love moments like this!! (especially when it picks on Daddy ☺)

♣St. Patrick's Day♣

Well, this year for St. Patrick's Day, I decided it would be fun to have a themed dinner. It's the only time everyone is home together. While Addy and Ty were napping (Preston was at school) I decorated our dining area with a bunch of shamrocks. I told the kids that a Leprechaun had come in our house and he put shamrocks everywhere. He said to keep an eye out for him, because he would be back. Addy enjoyed pulling them off. Later on that afternoon, the kids were outside playing. Which really made this alot easier to pull off. I decorated our table and counter area. (We really need a bigger dinning room table. Not to mention a new dinning room!) I used green shamrock confetti, clover looking paper plates, green cups, green napkins, Reese's peanut butter cups, and Rollo's.
The kids thought this was so much fun!! I told them that the Leprechaun did it. He ran out of "real" gold (so sad) so he brought the golden candy instead!! I also told them...he said to keep watching other things could happen.
So I went on finishing dinner while they were playing. I made cupcakes for desert, with green frosting and green sprinkles.
We had green kool-aid to drink. (It's actually Lemon-Lime--I didn't care for it much, but the kids loved it.)
Then for dinner we had green peas, herb seasoned pork chops, and garlic-herb potatoes.
When the kids came up to eat I told them that the silly Leprechaun put green seasoning in everything I was cooking. Preston thought that was hysterical. Tyson said, "Mom you did it--not the Leprechaun!" I told him no-no! It was all him. See he turned our juice green, our cupcakes green, everything.
They ate really great! Tyson especially!! I think part of it has to do with the fact green is his favorite color right now!
We had a great time...it was a fun experience. Hopefully it can become a tradition for us. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Addy's Big Girl Bed

Our sweet, innocent, precious daughter...figured out how to climb in and out of her crib. So we decided it was time to put her in a big girl bed. We debated on a toddler bed, but in the end we decided to just get her a regular bed and get a bar for it. She has done pretty well considering she is really only 16 months old. She has stayed in the bed, but it's taking longer for her to fall asleep. I think it's all the new found freedom and roaming area. She looks so little in her big girl bed. I just feel that she is much safer in the bed then in her crib. I was really starting to worry about her breaking her bones. I had come in her bedroom several times to find her stuck on her changing table crying. We were also grateful to be able to get the bed from my dad. That way we didn't have to buy one. (Don't get me wrong--I would have loved to buy her brand new furniture) In the end though it all worked out well. It also coordinates well with our baby furniture. So the room is all ready for Kaitlon, I even washed the sheets, blankets, and bumper. I told Clint that we are so prepared this time around we will for sure end up moving or something now! We laughed!! ☺

•The Barbie House•

Well, one day when my boys are older, they will probably kill me for posting these pictures. OH WELL!! So, like I mentioned before, I have been babysitting for a year now. One of the kids I babysit is a 7 year old little girl. I have felt really bad, because except for Addy's little dolls, we don't have a lot of girl things to play with. So one of my good friends called me up a couple weeks ago, and wanted to know if I wanted an old Barbie house she had in storage. I of course was thrilled to take that off her hands. I thought it would be perfect for Jaida to play with while she was here. So I ran to Wal-Mart and grabbed a couple dolls...you know the $5.00 ones. I got a Ken, Barbie, and some clothes. Then I asked Clint's youngest sister if she had anything she didn't want anymore that she would be willing to give us. So we got a few more dolls, doll clothes, a car, and some furniture. Well let me tell you--not only has Jaida played with this--but all 3 boys have been playing with it too. It actually caused an argument, because there was only 1 Ken doll, which forced me to have to buy 2 more Ken dolls. I cannot believe how well they have played with this toy. Clint doesn't care for the Barbie House, or the fact that his SONS are playing with it. I just keep reminding Clint, that it is okay. They are just role playing with them. They act out adult situations that children want to understand, and it's a way of problem solving, and communication. I also explained to him that no matter what children are playing with they are learning. That is why play time is so important to a growing child's development. Then I told him--if he didn't stop complaining about it I would make my "know-it-all" mother give him a child development lesson! (Love you MOM!!) He told me my child development lesson was sufficient. I just couldn't resist and had to share these priceless pictures of my children playing with Barbies!!

"we all scream for ice cream"

I have been babysitting for about a year now. It can be busy with 5 children, but I love it. (Clint keeps telling me this is good practice for when we have 6 of our own! SILLY CLINT!!) I honestly wish I could get more kids to watch. Then I wouldn't have to do my other part time job. :P Anyway, sometimes it gets routine around here and we have to think of fun things to do. Especially since it's still winter and we can't go outside that often. I decided it would be fun to get some ice cream and let the kids make their own. Everyone got into it...even Addy. We had chocolate syrup, whip cream, sprinkles, and little candies. Tyson, was of course the comedian, adding a ton of green sprinkles! Then showing me his mouth full! We had fun making and eating them!

2:35 am

So last night, or I guess I should say, this morning at 2:35 am.... I was woken up to find that all 3 of my children were awake. Two of them were out of bed. I said, "Tyson what are doing?" Thinking it was just him. Well in walks Preston. He said, "I skateboarded out of my bed." I could tell he wasn't all the way awake. He was also crying, so I imagine his skateboarding dream scared him or he got hurt. So I call for my husband, who is still downstairs watching T.V., don't ask me why! Then we do a potty break, get a new cup for Addy, tuck the boys in, give hugs & kisses, and make sure everyone is good all around. Then I go back into bed, lay down, get comfy, and sure enough number 4 is up and jumping around. I couldn't win!!! I then told Clint that she was awake. So he climbed into bed next to me, put his mouth to my tummy, and put his hand on the baby, and told her "Kaitlon, it's the middle of the night. You have to go back to sleep sweet heart." In which she responded by kicking him! It was a really funny moment. The first time Clint felt her too! We laughed and decided we were in for it!!! ☺

♥a girl after my own heart♥

♥Clint caught Addy playing on the computer the other day. I am so glad he thought to snap these pictures. I told him, it's only appearant that she will love the computer, since I am addicted and teaching her so well! I guess she actually downloaded something. Luckily he stopped the download. That might have been scary!! I think she was just trying to blog, shop, or IM with Ellie! ;) It was too cute to resist!! ♥

The Future Clubhouse!

The boys are building a clubhouse. Clint has been giving plasma for extra cash so he can build the kids a clubhouse. It really has been a neat experience to watch them go out and build. Preston and Tyson are really excited. They ask me everyday, "When will dad be home so we can build the playhouse?" These are the pictures of the baseboards. Clint is building this on the tent trailer he inherited from his grandpa. That way if we ever move, we can take it with us. It has been neat for me to help him design where the windows should go, what color it will be, how we will do the inside, etc... I think my plans and Clint's are a little different. He wants to put a light and plug in the house. When I asked him how he was going to get his power source...he told me he would plug it into our house. I think a basic and simple playhouse is sufficient. So we shall see what the finishing project brings. I am grateful for Clint's talent in this area. He is so willing to do what he can to make there childhood so memorable. His dad has really inspired him that way. I am also thankful that he is using his "blood money" (that's what we call it) to build it. He also bought us a new camera with his "blood money"! So I am very excited about that!! You will soon see lot's of pictures!

Baby Kaitlon

We went and had our 22 week check up on Thursday. We were able to get a 4-D picture of Kaitlon. She is developing wonderfully. She weighs 15 oz. right now. That's why she looks so skinny. She kept trying to cover her face up with her hand. So we were lucky to get such a great face shot.We get to go back in 2 weeks, and we will have the whole check up in 4-D. They also check every vital organ through the ultrasound and make sure nothing is wrong. I am doing fine. My blood pressure was high this check up. (You can read all about why in my last post) I am still battling these awful headaches, and am very tired. That is to be excepted though. I have also been experiencing lot's of stomach cramping. The Doctor told me that was normal, and probably is more active this pregnancy because I am having a girl. Apparently estrogen makes your stomach/bowels act up. Go figure! He told me milk of mag. would help. The things we go through. :) I am also really starting to feel her move now. Which calms my nerves, unless I don't feel her all day, then I freak out. All in all we are doing well, and just anxiously awaiting her arrival.

ThEsE ArE ThE MoMeNtS...

I just wanted to share with you the adventures of our evening. I had a prenatal check this evening, and thought it would be a fun to bring the whole family. Then I had a bright idea: we should meet Clint after he was finished with work, and all go to dinner. I am thinking fun family bonding, as well as, a meal I don't have to cook. Right?? WRONG!! We decided we would meet at Applebee's. So I arrived first with the children. As soon as we walked through the doors, it was like a light switch. They turned into wild, starving, crazy beasts!! I could not believe the way they were acting! It was terrible. After, getting our names on the waiting list, settling the wrestling match, taking Preston outside for a "discussion", they finally seat us. Where is Clint?? Oh, he is on a ladder, still at work. So a little frazzled, impatient, and disappointed so I decided to just order for the kids. I ordered them each the $3.99 mac-and cheese, they absolutely had to have. (Even though we have plenty of it at home in a box, and it only cost .88 cents) Then I specifically ask the waiter to bring it out as soon as it is finished. Still waiting on my husband to come...I finally decided it would be best to to call Clint, and just ordered for him as well. Well 10 minutes later the waiter finally decides to come back to check on things. I ordered for Clint and myself, and proceed to wait. Well after another 10 minutes or so...whose food come out? Not the children's. Clint's food comes, followed by mine, and then the children's last. So I am thinking..HELLO?? Did I not ask for there's to come first?? You can tell it has been sitting out too. Anyway, we all begin to eat our meal, and peace seems to be restored. Well, until Tyson begins to cough. I knew it was coming...BLAHHH...he threw up all over Applebee's, all over himself, and all over me. So by this time I am in the bathroom embarrassed, cleaning throw up from myself and Tyson, and wondering if I should be committed somewhere?! I honestly wanted to roll up in the fetal position and start crying. So we all quickly finished eating dinner. Then hit the Target next door, so that Tyson and I can get new shirts so we didn't have to go to the doctor's smelling like pukey mac-and-cheese. Let me tell you about Target. I am hurrying to find a new shirt, that wont cost an arm and a leg. I am in the zone when apparently Clint tells me, "I am leaving the cart and taking the kids to the toy section." I did not hear him. Well what did he leave in the cart? My purse, my phone, my keys, my cash, my credit cards. I had a little bit of a panic attack. Needless to say, I found the cart, and everything was there! We did make it to our doctor's appointment. My blood pressure was HIGH though. I explained to the nurse our evening...then it all made sense to her why it was high. Oh, these moments, I know one day I will look back and laugh. Until then...thank goodness for stress relief through blogging! :)

Addyson

So we took our sweet little Addy in for her 15 month appointment today. I am pleased to announce that she has jumped from the 3rd percentile to the 10Th percentile in height and weight. Go Addy! She weighed in at 17.5 lbs and is now 29 inches long. He still recommends that she keep drinking 1 pediasure per day. Although, he was very pleased with her growth and thought her development was awesome! He did remind me to READ, READ, READ with her. He said this age more then any other is the best time, because it develops vocabulary and attention spans. She loves books so I don't think it will be a problem. She did have to get 2 shots--poor girl. I hate those things. :( She survived though--and must be feeling just fine. (She is jumping on my back, and climbing up & down the chair as I write.)
