November 21st-28th PART 1

This week has been a doozie here in our household. There is no better way to explain it!! So since I have been neglecting our blog, I figured I would just blog the week into 2 parts. So here we go...

***BliZzARd***
We geared up this week for Utah's "BIG" Blizzard. We went and bought water, candles, and cuddled up while we waited for it to hit. It was windy, and snowy. However, it was not the Blizzard I thought we would have. It was a nice excuse to stay up late and watch Christmas movies though.
UNEMPLOYED...The night before Thanksgiving, I was told, my husband no longer had a job. He had known for several days, but to protect my sanity wasn't telling me. To make a very complicated, long story, very short I will give you the condensed version. The business that Clint worked for also employed my Father, and my brother. My Dad after several months decided that his values, ethics, and personality could no longer work for this company. Which caused an up roar with the higher management. We knew then things weren't going to be pretty (which is why I was so upset a few weeks ago). We geared up for the worst, and the next week she let my brother go. Clint continued to work, and thought he was safe. Until recently, where she decided to let him go as well. We have spoken with an attorney, but it would be hard to prove that Clint was let go--due to the fact that she is upset with my Dad. He is going to try to fight it, mainly to just keep a job through the next month. Although, it doesn't seem promising. I ask for your prayers, and if anyone knows of any jobs, PLEASE. PLEASE. call us or email me. c2001d@hotmail.com It is a rough economy, and I fear for our little family the next little while. I do however, have faith that the Lord will lead us where we need to be.

○○ThAnKsGiVinG○○I am a big looser this year. I got the kids dressed all cute, and tried to be spirited, alas I couldn't find the energy! So no Thanksgiving Day pictures. We did have a very good holiday. Clint was still at work, so I was sad not to have him there. We ate, played games, watched movies, and spent time with family. I also mapped out my night of shopping.

BLACK FRIDAY 2010!! Last year, I decided, it was too hard to get up to get in line for stuff. So my brilliant idea was to stay up all night this year. Yes, I did it. Yes, I survived. I know you are all probably thinking "Your husband just lost his job, and your spending money?!" Okay maybe you aren't thinking that, but I was. I have been saving for MONTHS, everything I could so we could have a nice Christmas. It was very hard to be in the mood to shop. I did manage to find mostly everything I wanted, and was able to finish Christmas shopping for my kids. My brother was a trooper, standing by DS games, ready to fight his way in. He did get yelled at by a few people. My good friend also helped me get killer steal on a couple of Wii games for $10.00 each. While I waited next to a Jessie Doll (from Toy Story). I couldn't have done it without them!! I was yelled at once, around 6 am, where exhaustion had settled in. I had done nothing wrong, and this lady was just plain being cruel. Yes, I did yell back. Then I went home, settled into bed, and took a 4 hour nap. (I didn't take that picture--but that's pretty much how Toys R Us was. A little more organized.)

Let it snow...???

So the song, 'Let it Snow' comes to mind today, but I'm not singing. We got our first major snowfall of the year this weekend. Of course, it all happens when Clint is at work, and the snow blower needs a part replaced. Those of you who know me well, know that 1:I hate this weather. It scares me to drive in it. 2: Have seen our very long driveway, and 3: know that, if I don't shovel, no one else will. Especially on the weekends when A.J. and Clint are gone. So needless to say I have spent the majority of the weekend back and forth shoveling. As soon as I get it done, I turn around and have to start over. That's how much snow we are getting. The city doesn't help, I mean I am grateful they are plowing, but they pile it up in front of the driveway. So we have to dig to get in or out. My back is extremely sore. :( I guess it's a good workout. I just hope it lets up for a while so I can take a break!

Snow Day at Weber State Preschool

Tyson has so much fun going to Preschool at Weber State University. They do so many fun things with them. We have had enough snow that they were able to get Tubes out and let the kids sled. I watched him go over and over for 30 minutes. I am sure his poor teacher was so tired of pushing him down. He has such a great time!! He is also learning so much!! Some of the pictures are blurry. I was taking pictures from inside the building, through the window. I didn't want to interrupt class time. :)

When Will It Stop Snowing???

Okay, so I realize it's winter, and I live in Utah, but when will it stop snowing? I am not a fan of the winter. I do not ski, or snowboard, and I only go sledding if I am not pregnant. I absoulutley hate snow clothes, boots, gloves, and hats. (That stems from the years of teaching preschool) As soon as you get them on, the children have to use the bathroom, or something else, which then requires you to have to take them all off again. So today it's snowing, yet again. It hasn't even been that bad this year, well compared to last year. They closed the hill we lived on for a while, and had to re-route the traffic. I never know if the bus is going to be bringing Preston home, and I hate driving in this!! The mail has yet to come, and I am waiting for my paycheck. Not too mention we have been shoveling (when I say we I mean A.J.) for over an hour, and it looks as though nothing has been touched. Then to top it off--I hear the dog freaking out. So I go outside to see what is wrong with him. Then I realized he was barking at the tree branch that broke from the tree. The snow was just too heavy! The picture I took really doesn't do it justice, but it's a pretty large branch. I can't get into the dog kennel, because the snow is so high. So, my poor dog just may freeze or starve to death today. So anyway, I guess I just wanted to complain! I hate winter!! I am so ready for spring! Our Backyard!
The broken tree branch!
