Okay, so picked my computer. I figured when it says "item" it means something you can't take with you when you die. (Lol) My computer is always going...checking/sending emails, looking up information, paying bills, keeping in touch with friends, blogging, googling things, etc... I couldn't live without it!!

Day #4: A Picture of Your Favorite Night This one was hard for me. I think my favorite night would have to be the night before Christmas. Not just one, but all Christmas Eves. It's just so much excitement and anticipation. Plus, it's my all time favorite Holiday. As much as I love getting Christmas presents--there is just something amazing about being the Mom and watching your kids!!

Oh ladies, do I have a story for you! (I say ladies---because I don't think many men read this blog.) Before I get into all the details of the story--I need you to FEEL what I was feeling, and try and see my point of view! Believe me when I say this is obnoxious and packed full of drama! While reading... try to imagine these things: that your husband had been out of work for over a month. You are picking up extra hours in hopes to bring in extra income. Saving, being frugal, and spending the bare minimal! Worried that NOTHING is going to work out. Now imagine your tax refund coming. What would you do if you were in my situation? Well, I, of course stuck it in savings--with no intention to touch it!! Keep these things in mind...

Here is the story of our new washer and dryer.

I come home from work on Tuesday to do some household things, one of those being checking our bank account. Where I noticed that part of our savings had been withdrawn. Naturally I am freaking out!! I wanted to know what happened. Before calling the bank in a panic, I asked Clint if he knew what happened. He smiles and says, "I bought you something." I knew right then and there what he had bought! Most women would be overjoyed. Especially if their husband had said, "I can't always get you what you deserve, and you deserve these. I love you and want to treat you like you are a "Princess". You work so hard for our family, and I know these will help take some of the burden. Plus, this is the first time in years we haven't had medical bills or other things that have needed to be paid...so I wanted to surprise you. Since I just got my new job--I didn't think you would mind. And we need a new dryer, I can't fix the one downstairs." Very sweet-huh?! But what do I do? I FLIPPED!! I will admit it. I freaked out! I was upset and frustrated. I demanded that he take them back!! It caused a pretty big argument. He went on to school and I started to think about things a little more rationally. These were my thoughts: We do a LOT of laundry, I can't keep up waiting for 3 cycles of drying for the clothes to get dry, it is energy efficient, and the features are cool, plus I can do bigger loads of laundry, Clint is right they will last a long time, but the MONEY!! I called to apologize and tell him I was sorry and would rethink things...BUT it was too late. He cancelled the washer and dryer and re-deposited our money. :( After all that freaking out--now I was sad. Which then caused another argument. Where I was the one saying the "I'm sorry". The next day was a rough one. I wasn't feeling well--I even stayed home from work. We still hadn't solved the "what are we going to do about our broken dryer?" issue. After some much needed rest I got online to search for the cheapest dryer I could find. Ladies, dryers aren't cheap! Even the crappy ones. I would have still paid close to $400 for the end of the line dryer. I debated KSL and refurbished shops...but you just never know what you are getting. I did some other research and seriously rethought about Clint's argument. Re-visited our finances. Then I did the worst thing ever!!! I asked him to call the salesman and see if we could still get the same deal on the nice ones. (I know ladies, I give wives everywhere a bad name!) Clint wasn't happy! The salesman was very nice, he said he had been married for 35 yrs, and he understood! He was able to still get Clint the sale price on a new set of Energy Efficient, front loading, Whirlpool washer and dryers, with a few freebies, and around $200 in mail in rebates. So even though I had a crazy wife moment--I am looking forward to catching up on this mess....using these....

I am also very grateful for Clint. That he puts up with my wacky mood swings, my frugality, my anxieties! That even after all of that "making him look like an idiot" stuff that he would go out of his way to try and please me. I haven't felt in years that he really understood how much laundry I do. I mean I HATE, LOATHE laundry! It was very nice to see that he does get it and that he is willing to try and lift some of that load! I love you, Clint. Thank you for letting me have such a great gift!

Day #2: A Picture of You and Someone You are Close to. I have sooo many friends I couldn't choose just one. So I decided I would pick the most important one.... Clint. We have been through everything--from getting married young, school, jobs, car accidents, kids, you name it!! I totally think that justifies the "close" part! :)

I have seen several people doing this challenge on facebook. I thought maybe it would be fun to do. I thought blogging it would be better!! I am challenging all of you to do this too! (If you want the instructions--leave me a comment.)

Day #1: A Picture of Yourself & Fifteen Facts

1- I am 27.

2- I love eating out.

3- I am trying to lose 20 lbs.

4- I love shopping, but hate spending the money.

5- I have never been to Hawaii, but really want to go!!

6- I don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number.

7- I have 2 favorite TV shows right now: Glee and Grey's Anatomy.

8- I get all of my kids' clothes out the night before. That way Clint wont dress them in things that don't match.

9- I am deathly afraid of flying.

10- I do not have 20/20 vision. I wear contacts. I hate wearing my glasses.

11- I have recently developed a new fetish: Making sure to take care of my hair. (Trimming, coloring, conditioning, using special sprays, etc...)

12- I am saving up to take a "Mommy Vacation" this summer, so I can attend a friends wedding. Meaning I am going alone! ;)

13- I am obsessed with learning new hair-do's for the girls.

14- Yesterday I hit my Mom's car...in my driveway. Not my brightest moment.

15- The last movie I saw was "Unknown".

I don't want to JINX it...

...BUT....

Clint received a job offer today! It was the same job he interviewed for last week. I am really excited, but there are some minor details that need to be worked out. When he interviewed they told him he would only be hired on as "on-call" to start. They also told him that the pay he would receive would be $2.50 less then what Clint was making. However, when they called today to offer Clint the job, they offered him a different wage--which was $2.00 more. (So over all we are taking a .50 cent pay cut) They also told Clint they were going to hire him as a FULL TIME Lead (I assume that is like a shift manager). I really hope all the little details work out. This would be a really great experience for Clint. I especially like that it's something he wants to do. Plus, it will benefit his career and education. I will let you know if it all works out!

~Sundays With Addy~

Addyson is a big Sunbeam now! I love seeing her in Primary each week. This week Addy was a little full of it! I can't help but laugh at her. I just need to jot this all down. Especially before I forget it. Here are some precious little stories...

Addy was sitting next to the only boy in her sunbeam class. When I hear her say to her teacher... "I can't sit by boys."

Addy saying in her really cute, super fast, "chipmunk voice"... "I can help my family, too. Can I pick a picture? Is it my turn yet?" ....when her teacher turns around to me and says... "I can't understand her." :)

My personal favorite... While sitting in Sacrament meeting, the speaker is speaking on families. Addyson says, "I want my family." I said, "You are with your family silly, we are your family." in which she replies, "Ya, I don't want this family. I want that one up there."

This experience with her will be one I never forget! :)

Update...

I am sorry to be such a slacker, but I haven't really known what to say. It's been over a month since Clint was laid off, and it's been exhausting. I wont lie. I am stressed, irritable, and not sure what the future holds. After a huge (I mean huge) bawling session, in my shower, we got some positive news. I will not call it good news, because I am not sure anything good is coming. Clint got his first job interview. I am not real sure where this lands us, or if it will work out. I was happy to know that not everyone replies with:

Job searching is a blast :/ .In other news...my Dad is moving to West Virginia. *sobbing*. Yes, I know. I am a grown adult, I have been married almost 10 years, I have 4 kids. I shouldn't be crying over the fact that my Dad is moving away. I am a huge Daddy's girl though, and can't help it. I do have mixed feelings. On one hand, it's many future trips closer to "Home" (Well, I consider Virginia home. Even though I technically wasn't born there.). Two hours from some of my dearest friends!! On the other hand, it's not like I can run down and visit when I miss him.

Valentine's Day was a lot like any other day around here. Just with extra parties, and lot's of candy! I try and make holidays fun for the kids. I am sure Clint thinks I am over dramatic, but Oh, well!

So first things first...I was so excited to do the girls hair this year! I saw this Hair-Do on a website a while ago. They turned out pretty festive!

The rest of Valentine's Day was fun. I finally got to go on a date with my husband!! (It's been a while.) We ended up at Mongolian BBQ, because the lines at all the restaurants were too busy! Well too busy for me--I am way impatient. It worked out perfectly though, because we got to go see the movie "Just Go With It". It was a cute romantic comedy. If you can stand Adam Sandler humor, I recommend it. Clint got me flowers, I bought him a box of swiss cake rolls. Then we got the kids a box of chocolates each! (Winco .88 cents) I also left them all a "love letter" telling them how much I love them! So what did the kids do yesterday?! Well they hung out with my friend, Nila. Who brought them movies, and candy! We bought them a heart shape pizza for dinner, along with heart shape paper plates.

We all had a very fun day! Happy Valentine's Everyone!! ♥

Blogger Anniversary!

One of my friends did a post like this, and I thought it was a neat idea. It’s been 2 years since I started my blogging journey!! I have loved every minute of sharing our lives with all of you, getting to know all of you better, and getting to read your comments. It has been a great place for me to journal and let my creativity flow. I am so glad my friend, Shannon, talked me into doing this.

I remember my first attempt. I sat at the computer for probably 6 hours strait. I had to get my blog page perfect. (I am a bit of a perfectionist at times.) My first blog post was “It's a Girl!” It was only then I realized you couldn’t change orders of your posts, because I really wanted my first post to be this," The World of Blogging...”. (If there is a possible way to change post orders, please share!!)

My favorite post of all time would have to be this one, “100 Random Things About Me”. I loved doing that!! I think one day I will try another 100!

The post that the most people commented on (not including myself), is this one, “Baby K Dance”. By the way, I really do love it when people comment. I know that is silly, but it’s fun to read what others have to say!!

When I started blogging I only had 1 friend on my friends and family list. Now I have around 48 friends/family members. I love reading your blogs!!  I am very thankful that you read ours too!

Swimming, Swimming....

With the boys in Lehi all weekend, we decided to do "Girl Things" with my Mom. She treated us to lunch, and some window shopping. Then she took us to the pool. It was sure to be a fun time...but somebody pooped. So we did more waiting (for the pool to be cleaned), then we did swimming. Katie wasn't sure she loved it, but we still had fun! Had to get a couple snap shots of me and my girls!
