Last Wrestling Tournament

Sorry the pictures are blurry. Yesterday was Preston's last tournament for the season. Unless we drive far away. He did really good, and had some nice competition. He got 2nd place. :) So he had 4- 1st place wins, and 2- 2nd place this season. I think that is pretty good for the first year!

ReaDy wReSTle

Today was tournament #4. Preston had some great competition today. He still did a terrific job. He got 1st place. I know Preston really wants Clint there, and I know how hard it is for him to not be there. So again, thanks to all the dads out there who help him out! I am really proud of Preston, and all the hard work he does to be his best!

Wrestling Tournament # 3

So I have tried a million times to upload the matches, apparently blogger and I are not getting along this evening. I will probably try one more time then give up. This video is when Preston received first. He was grinning ear to ear. He was so proud of himself. We are very thankful for those who helped Preston out. (Clint can't be there to coach him during his matches.) So lot's of the dads have been so willing to help him out. I believe it makes a huge difference for Preston's confidence when others are there cheering him on, and telling him what moves to do. Preston started wrestling in October, and I can see a remarkable difference in his skills. He loves wrestling, and does an awesome job.

Where did the weekend go???

What a crazy weekend this has been!! I feel like I have had no break! Saturday we got up early to go to one of Preston's wrestling tournaments. We got there at 9:30 and didn't leave until 2:50. It was insane!! My poor little Preston, was so exhausted!! I am pleased to say he took 2nd place though!! I am so proud of him. Grandma Ferguson came up, she took tons of pictures. So I will have to post some later. I have to video for Daddy to see, and it's too much to do both, and try to coach him. I am starting to get the hang of the wrestling thing, although I know I still have so much to learn. The we went to a baptism for the little girl I babysit. It was neat to ponder on my own baptism day. My Bishop (who also happened to be my Dad) baptized me 18 years ago. We lived in Washington State. My Grandparents drove all the way from Utah to be there. I was given my first set of scriptures, and my first journal that day. I just remember how wonderful it was, and how great I felt. I was also grateful my kids got to experience it. Especially since next year Preston will turn 8, and have his turn. Today was David's farewell. It was nice to see so many friends, and family come and support him. He of course joked around throughout his talk, but in all seriousness he did a good job. I am looking forward to him going, and think this will be a wonderful learning experience for him. Afterward, we had a big goodbye dinner for him with friends and family. It was fun. (No pictures though, apparently I wasn't thinking) We also did cake, and presents for Grandpa and Tyson. Their birthday's are both this week. So I have to say, I am really looking forward to next weekend...hopefully I can relax, and get some "me time" in. Impossible huh?!? Well I have a busy week ahead of me, so I better go prepare.

Wrestling Mamma!!!!!

So it's official! I am a wrestling Mom! Never thought it would happen, well at least not until high school. We found out that the High Schools around here do a wrestling club for kids from k-6 grades. We have been wanting to put Preston in something, but we weren't sure what to do. So when we found out about this, Clint was all for it. He was a wrestler in high school. Preston's best buddy is wrestling too! Today was the first tournament!! They didn't keep score, and since I don't have any clue how the wrestling system works...I have no idea if he won or not! Clint wasn't able to be there (since he works), so the coach helped out as much as he could. I just kept cheering him on!! The coach told me that Preston has great natural ability, and once he learns moves he will be quite the little wrestler. I wanted to post the video--but I will have to do that when Clint gets home. I can't work the video camera! So here are some of the warm up pictures of Preston and his friend.
