Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

I had the privilege of going on Addyson's Pumpkin Patch Field Trip last week. Sometimes working at the daycare has stifled the amount of participation I get to have in these types of activities. I convinced my boss (it didn't take much) to let me go this time.  I was super excited!! We had a great time. Addy's preschool class is super cute. I just adore three to four year old!! We did some fun things, too. Took a hayride, pick a pumpkin, play some games, and feed the animals. It was a bonus that I was being paid the entire time, too! I don't normally get paid to hang out with my children. Addyson is turning into a fun little girl--and I am loving the time we get to spend with each other.

These were some of my favorite pictures of the field trip. There are some others on facebook under the Fall 2011 album.

Cheer Camp

I signed Addyson up for cheer camp at our local high school. It's a fundraiser the girls do for their squads. She spent last week learning 2 cheers and a dance. It was really fun to watch Addy. She did a pretty great job considering her age. It really made me miss being a cheerleader. I think I need to coach a squad--however I guess I will wait and do that when my life isn't being controlled by homework! :) There are some cute pictures of Addy on my facebook page--but I wanted to make sure I shared this video. This is one of the cheers they performed during half time of Friday's game!

Every Girl Needs A Great Pair Of Shoes

I love watching my girls dress up in their dress up shoes. They take them everywhere. They are girls after my own heart! I love shoes!! They know I love shoes. I think it’s so funny to watch them and hear them talk about how much they love them!

Addyson Update...

We went in for her follow up today. It turns out that not only did she have pneumonia, she had strep, and was pretty dehydrated. Her temp. was still around 101.2, but she seemed to be doing better today. Her antibiotic has kicked in. She hasn't touched much, food wise. She is drinking lots of water though! Thanks for keeping her in your prayers! We hope she gets feeling better soon!

Clint's Grandma has been on our case about family pictures lately. So I finally caved and told Clint we would get some done. I was even trying to plan to do them before Mother's Day, but the weather has stalled that. We had these done 2 weeks ago...and she just posted some to facebook. I was so excited! (It made my day!!) I had to steal a couple early and post them to our blog. Stephanie was so patient with us! Especially our little Kaitlon--whose picture is adorable! I can't wait to see the rest of our pictures! For now...here is a little sneak peek! There are more on her facebook page; Patchwork Photography. She does an amazing job!! She is so affordable. I recommend her! Thank you so much Stephanie. {PRESTON}

Pneumonia

Addy hasn't been feeling well since Sunday evening. I called in to work Monday, because she had come down with a fever of 101.3. We spent Monday resting and trying to take it easy. She seemed to be her happy self--just with a fever and congestion. By Monday night her fever was back and she spent the night coughing. I text Clint and asked him to give her a blessing when he got home. He said it was the sweetest thing ever. She woke up in the middle and listened to Clint quietly. Then when he had finished she sat up and said, "Thank you, Daddy. I love you so much." Awe, now if that doesn't melt your heart! This morning I got up and was praying that she was doing better. When I woke her however I could tell she wasn't. I ended up having to call into work again, which was fine with me. I just hate the guilt trip I get because I have a sick child. Biggest down fall of my job. I told my boss I would take her to instacare first thing. So after we dropped Preston off to school we went strait over. We checked in at about 7:50 something. Then they spent 2 hours performing tests. So, a Flu, Strep, RSV, Urine Tests and chest x-rays later, they concluded that she has Pneumonia. I am grateful we know whats wrong, but I am still really worried about her. I have to keep a close eye on her temperature and breathing. If it gets worse she has to be admitted to the hospital. We also have to have a follow up appointment tomorrow. If her temperature hasn't gone down he will have to do blood work. She is on an antibiotic and resting. Please keep this little girl in your prayers!

A Sweet Deal!

A few posts ago, I was complaining, because I couldn't decide on what to do about bunk beds for our girls. It was really a fight between a cheaper set or the set I really wanted. We have had money set aside out of our tax returns to get the girls a new set. However, with Clint still not working I was having a hard time wanting to spend that.
On Monday I was searching KSL and came across an ad for white bunk beds and 2 mattresses. It was only $260 which was better then the $800+ I wanted to spend. I called the lady and she never called me back. When I checked the ad later in the evening the bunks had been sold. I was heart broken. Okay, not really. It was very disappointing though. On Tuesday she called us back and said the people never showed to buy it and if we wanted them we needed to come first thing. Luckily Clint was home and was able to go and get them!!
They weren't the exact style I had wanted, but they weren't the cheap set either. They actually look like the ones being sold at RC Willey right now for $400.00 (which was just for the beds not the mattresses). It was the set I was leaning towards (it was the in between set). I figure buying the beds this way saved me a little over $600.
The mattresses didn't end up being that great--so we will keep searching for new ones. (Probably after Clint is working full time again.) They aren't icky...they are just more like a thick pad. The girls are little enough right now that they have no idea and it will be just fine.
A while ago I bought a comforter identical to Addy's and put it in storage. I knew this day was coming. I am really glad I did that now! I even got the second one on clearance. Their cute little bedroom is coming together.

The first night in the new bed was a little rough! Once she fell asleep she was fine--it was just getting her to stay in bed that was difficult. I think Addy was a little more naughty then usual, since it was her first night in a new bed too. She has been so excited about getting bunk beds and having Kaitlon move in with her. It may sound silly, but I am counting this as a blessing. We were able to get them the beds they needed in the amount that was more affordable for us. I think they will last us a long time too.

~Sundays With Addy~

Addyson is a big Sunbeam now! I love seeing her in Primary each week. This week Addy was a little full of it! I can't help but laugh at her. I just need to jot this all down. Especially before I forget it. Here are some precious little stories...
Addy was sitting next to the only boy in her sunbeam class. When I hear her say to her teacher... "I can't sit by boys."
or
Addy saying in her really cute, super fast, "chipmunk voice"... "I can help my family, too. Can I pick a picture? Is it my turn yet?" ....when her teacher turns around to me and says... "I can't understand her." :)
or
My personal favorite... While sitting in Sacrament meeting, the speaker is speaking on families. Addyson says, "I want my family." I said, "You are with your family silly, we are your family." in which she replies, "Ya, I don't want this family. I want that one up there."
This experience with her will be one I never forget! :)

Swimming, Swimming....

With the boys in Lehi all weekend, we decided to do "Girl Things" with my Mom. She treated us to lunch, and some window shopping. Then she took us to the pool. It was sure to be a fun time...but somebody pooped. So we did more waiting (for the pool to be cleaned), then we did swimming. Katie wasn't sure she loved it, but we still had fun! Had to get a couple snap shots of me and my girls!

Ultimate Dress-Up!

Addy is a fun spirited, very girly, curious 3 yr. old! She loves playing dress-ups! Today I was cleaning my bedroom, and for some reason she wanted to see what was in my Hope Chest. I opened it for her, and she was so excited to see my wedding dress. She had to try it on--and I just had to let her! It was one of those sweet little moments! I just can't believe that in 20 (+) years--she will be doing that for real!

~Doll House~

We (Clint) put so much work into this doll house. That I had to give it—it’s own post. I found the Doll House on KSL. The guy selling it wanted $350, I think. It took a month, but we talked him down to a price that was realistic for us! After, the initial cost of the house itself, we only ended up spending about $20. Which included the supplies, and the flooring. Lowe’s gave us carpet remnants for free! Which totally Rocked! I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out!! I have ALWAYS, I mean it too, wanted to build her a Doll House. This was just what I was looking for… in budget, style, time, and make!

~Preschool Pictures~

It's that time of year again, picture time. I am a looser Mom. I never buy the school pictures! They're way expensive. And I do not love their quality. So I feel bad...Preston never has pictures!! One of these days, we will have family pictures done, and I will get an individual done of Preston! Since Tyson still comes to work with me in the morning, he got his taken. Here were my favorites... November 21st-November 28th Part 2

♥♥AddYsOn's BiRtHdAY♥♥Addy turned 3 on Friday!! She is growing up so fast!! As much as I love it, I hate it! She loves dress-up, make up, and being a girl! I wanted to get her a vanity for her birthday, and have known this for several months. So last June, I found that one at Kid to Kid. It was perfect!! She loves it, and I love watching her play with it. Addy picked pizza for dinner, and then we had cake! It was so low key, and so nice. I was still really tired!!

~FAMILY REUNION~On Saturday, Clint took the 3 oldest kids, to Lehi for a Family Reunion. They had a lot of fun!! They ate, played, went swimming, and slept at their cousin's house! They loved it, and had a really good time!! The whole unemployed thing was catching up to me, so I wasn't in the spirit to go down. Not to mention, Kaitlon is getting all her teeth (at one time) which is causing her to not feel well. So we vegged at home.

**PuTTing UP ChRisTmAs**

Since I was home, with one child, who slept the whole time... I put up Christmas. Okay, I already had our tree up for weeks. But I was able to get most of our decor up. This year we ended up with lot's of trees. My mom bought Addy that hot pink tree for her birthday. Then my boys talked to her into buying them one too. I also decorated my little pine trees up this year. I used extra raffia I had, and made bows to keep that "woodsy/forest" theme going. I love decorating for the holidays!
-Harry Potter-

A couple weeks ago, my brother took me to the Deathly Hollows. So we spent the past week re-watching all of the Harry Potter movies. I have only read book 1 through half of book number 4, but after re-watching the movies. I am ready to start over, and read them all. It will take me forever, but I am kinda looking forward to it. I want to read them with Preston and Tyson. They watched the 1st & 2nd movies with us, and they have been running around the house casting spells on everything. I do know how everything ends, but I know the movies leave out a lot...and kinda want to "fill in the blanks". After watching Harry Potter, over and over, I have decided all mothers should have a magic wand!!
