trick-or-treat!!!!!!

We had a fun time trick or treating. Although, it was very difficult with 4 kids! We were doing okay, except the fact that the children were out of control hyper!!!! Then Tyson had an asthma attack, and coughed until he threw up all over a neighbor's bush! (Luckily, we know them, and they understood) After that we were done trick or treating. Don't worry we have plenty of candy though!!!

All Dressed Up...

...and ready to go! The kids wanted to go as superheroes this year. They wanted Kaitlon to be a superhero too! So this is what we came up with The Hulk, Superman, Batgirl, Super Baby, and I went as cat woman (sorry no pictures)!

Wrestling Mamma!!!!!

So it's official! I am a wrestling Mom! Never thought it would happen, well at least not until high school. We found out that the High Schools around here do a wrestling club for kids from k-6 grades. We have been wanting to put Preston in something, but we weren't sure what to do. So when we found out about this, Clint was all for it. He was a wrestler in high school. Preston's best buddy is wrestling too! Today was the first tournament!! They didn't keep score, and since I don't have any clue how the wrestling system works...I have no idea if he won or not! Clint wasn't able to be there (since he works), so the coach helped out as much as he could. I just kept cheering him on!! The coach told me that Preston has great natural ability, and once he learns moves he will be quite the little wrestler. I wanted to post the video--but I will have to do that when Clint gets home. I can't work the video camera! So here are some of the warm up pictures of Preston and his friend.

jack-O-lanterns

Family Night Activity: Carve Pumpkins! Messy, loud, entertaining!!!!!!!
I love Family Night, and now that Clint is home during the week, it's become so much more fun!David and A.J. joined in tonight...which makes for great entertainment! So we teamed up with the kids to carve pumpkins. A.J. and Preston, David and Tyson, Clint, Me and the girls! I have to say it was really neat to see everyone's creations.

Can you guess who's is who's? HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!!!!!!!!

4 months

Kaitlon is 4 months old now! Today was her first rice cereal try! YAY! She did really well. I am so glad, because I was starting to feel like a milk cow! :) I can't wait to introduce new fruits, and veggies too. I have also decided to blend my own baby food this go around. Don't get me wrong, we will still probably use the Gerber stuff...but I am actually looking forward to doing my own. Uncle A.J. helped out with this feeding, and I told him I would give him a dollar if he would try it! Oh my...I have never seen something so funny!! Luckily, Dave got a picture.

Kaitlon is learning, and growing. Not sure what she weighs....I have to schedule an appointment....oops. I blame the forgetfulness on the 4Th child syndrome. Any who....she loves her jumperoo (when Addy isn't swinging her). She has found toys, and is grasping them. I LOVE her little laugh! The kids have been great with Kaitlon. Addyson is a great big sister, on Friday she gave Kaitlon Cheetos! Oh well, what do you do? I am so thankful for our sweet baby girl! I love watching her grow, but am sad it goes by so fast! :)

Halloween at the Dinosaur Park

I took the kids to the Dinosaur Park today. It was all done up spooky for Halloween! It was sooo much fun! I didn't quite have it together tonight. We decided at the very, very last minute to go. So I forgot flashlights, trick or treat bags, and costumes. We still had a great time, and the kids didn't care at all. There were Halloween decorations, trick or treat stations (we got tons of free kid meal coupons), we made slime, roasted marshmallows, played on the slides, played in a bounce house, and loved looking at the dinosaurs! I can't believe October is almost over, but we are having a great time celebrating!!!

trick or treat cans

So my babysitting activity for the day...Trick or Treating cans!!! I've been collecting formula cans, and get pretty harassed about it. I have tried to explain to everyone that formula cans make the perfect little containers to put treats in for gifts, and I can also use them for fun stuff. So I decided to let the kids make little trick or treat cans with them. I let them stamp Halloween objects on white paper. Then I cut each paper to fit the formula can. It will still leave a gap, because the 12x12 sheet of paper wont wrap all the way around. We filled that gap with another piece of paper that had a big spider and their name on them. I used ribbon to embellish the top of the can, and also for the handles. I was able to punch through these cans with a hole punch, but I recommend a drill! It"s hard!! I glued everything on with hot glue.

So what do you think??

○PuMpKiN PaTcH○

I absolutely have fallen in love with the cutest PuMpKiN PaTcH down in Pleasant Grove called Hee Haw Farms. I have taken the kids there every years for 4 years. They have so many fun things!! I thought it would be neat to go with the Clint's family this year, since the cousins are so close in age. It was a really fun family night! We met at Lance and Amber's (Clint's brother) we had a family home evening lesson, and ate dinner together. It was fun then we headed over to play!
We got to go on a trick or treat hAyRiDe!! All of Clint's family went on it...uncles, aunts, cousins, and Grandparents!

Poor Kaitlon, it was so windy. She was so upset.
The kids got to do a hAy JuMp!

We loved the animals at the PeTtInG zOo!!

We found our way through the MiNi mAzE!!

We had a great time sLidInG down all the slides!!

the CoRn BoX was so cool, and sheltered us from the wind! The kids had fun burying themselves and making corn angels!

We rode some wild HoRsE SwInGs!!

Then of course picked some PuMpKiNs!! We also rode some little PeDaL CaRs, and watched some crazy kids chase PiGs!! It was a really fun night, one to remember. Hopefully next year it wont be so windy!
