~SnEaK PeEk~
Clint's Grandma has been on our case about family pictures lately. So I finally caved and told Clint we would get some done. I was even trying to plan to do them before Mother's Day, but the weather has stalled that. We had these done 2 weeks ago...and she just posted some to facebook. I was so excited! (It made my day!!) I had to steal a couple early and post them to our blog. Stephanie was so patient with us! Especially our little Kaitlon--whose picture is adorable! I can't wait to see the rest of our pictures! For now...here is a little sneak peek! There are more on her facebook page; Patchwork Photography. She does an amazing job!! She is so affordable. I recommend her! Thank you so much Stephanie.

Mini Golf, Ducks, and Rats
Friday nights just aren't what they used to be. I remember being in High School and getting dressed up to go hang out with friends or go on dates. Now I spend them with my children. I love it though! Clint had to work--so we decided to go use our season passes. (Sorry--I think we will have lots of posts about Toad's in the future.) I told the boys we could play Mini Golf this time. We had fun. I will admit I was the Mother "yelling" at her children. I can honestly say, I will not be taking them to play when I am alone, any time soon!
After we grabbed a $5 pizza and went over to the Duck Pond. The kids were entertained by feeding their pizza to the ducks and seagulls.
Then they found something even better...a RAT! I didn't realize we had rats at the duck pond. I guess we do!
And they swim!

○Easter Sunday○
So I will admit--I kind of blew off the Easter fun this year. We didn't attend any fun egg hunts or even really do anything that exciting. It turned out wonderful anyway. We did little buckets of treats for the kids (from the Easter Bunny). We did get the boys a Season Pass to Toads Fun Zone. They had a deal that if we got bought 3 we could get 1 for free. Clint and I got one, too. I am kind of looking forward to the boys being able to go over and play. They love mini golf, baseball, and laser Tag. Plus, it will hopefully give us a free date night from time to time. The girls just got a couple small treats and a movie. We got all dressed up and even managed to be to church early. Clint ended up being called into work--so it was a bummer that he couldn't spend the day with us. After church, we had a wonderful dinner with my Mom. I am still full!! I ate way too much!!! Three of Clint's sisters came up to visit with us--which was nice. We don't get to see his family that often. Now we are relaxing and enjoying the day.

I have been so overwhelmed with the spirit today. I even had to fight back the tears while I was teaching Primary. I can only imagine what those little 5/6 year olds were thinking. Then I came home and was reading some things about Easter on http://www.lds.org/ (love that site!). I came across this Easter Declaration. It sums up my thoughts and feelings of this blessed day.

April Fool's Day Dinner Menu: Fish Sticks, Peas, Ketchup on the side.
Did I fool you? I sure fooled them!!
They did end up having fish sticks and peas.
Here is what I fed them the first time...
Fish Sticks: Wafer cookies covered in peanut butter and coated with corn flakes. Peas: Rolled up green airheads. Ketchup: Strawberry Jelly.
They did end up having fish sticks and peas.I LOVED hearing all about the "Fooling" going on at school. Preston & Tyson also get me with their own joke. Oh, they got me--good! :)

Our Week...
Wow! This week has been a doozie! I am not even sure where to begin.
Clint did work this week. Yay! However, he is not full time yet. They can't bring him on full time until all their certifications have come through. This has absolutely nothing to do with Clint, it's just how new businesses start. So things are still not normal around here. It's kind of frustrating. I am glad that he has a job, but I am so ready for him to work the 9 hour day then come home. You know...like a normal life?! Yes, normal. That would be nice. Since he isn't working full-time we still do not have a full-time income coming in, so I have been pulling crazy hours again at work. I am exhausted, more then usual. I think the stress of all of this is catching up with me. (But I guess I have been saying that for a while.)
We did have some fun this week, though.
Monday: We were busy! Work. School. An appointment. Then I found a killer deal on a dress at the Down East Outlet in Ogden. I am really starting to LOVE that store. It was on the clearance rack for $7.00. So I tried it on, loved it, checked out, and it was an additional 20% off. I only paid $5.98 for it! That was exciting.
Tuesday: Work. School. Cub Scouts. Babysitting. I hate loading all 6 kids in the car to take Preston to scouts. Just to come home and unload. Then turn around and do it all again in 45 minutes. It's really annoying! Since the weather is warming up (hopefully) I think we are going to make this our Tuesday routine; Take Preston to scouts, hang at the park! It's so close to his scout leader. It was so nice to get the kids out of the house too! We played tag--and even I had a blast!
Wednesday: Oh, that day was fun! NOT!! One of my co-workers didn't show for work. Which meant they had to cover her. I spent all day at work--literally. I even had to pick Preston and Tyson up from school and take them back with me. Which never happens. Oh man! I was tired. After work, I had to help a friend pick some things out for a project, so I didn't get home until 9:30pm.

We had a little Leprechaun visit our house. He got green paint all over my floor. I haven't even mopped it up yet! He left the kids little pots of gold chocolate and green candies. The kids all got to wear green and have class parties. We had broccoli cheese soup and homemadeLee's made green oreo cookies. (Don't judge---please. I really wanted to do festive green food. I was even going to make it. It just wasn't happening this week!)
Sunday: Church. Babysitting. Catching up on this blog of mine. Can't wait to watch a movie and lay in bed!!

"From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere!"
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! How did we celebrate?? We celebrate in style....
The boys got to dress up at school again this year. Preston was so excited and had planned what he wanted to do. He was going to be Thing 1 and Tyson was going as Thing 2! We worked really hard on getting the costumes put together. (Including the blue pom-pom hair) Then on Tuesday Preston came down with Strep Throat. What a bummer!! He was miserable and couldn't go to school today. He was a good sport though and put his stuff on long enough to get a picture with Tyson.
It was also early out day today--so after school Tyson watched "The Cat in the Hat" and popped popcorn!! Then he requested GREEN EGGS & HAM for dinner!!
We actually found several of the movies on a website. So the kids watched their favorite Dr. Seuss stories come to life!
Oh yes, we did have GREEN EGGS & HAM for dinner. Preston doesn't not like green eggs and ham! The rest of the kids ate them up!! I didn't color the ham, I was running out of time. The kids have been so hungry lately. If I don't have dinner on the table by 5:00--the WHINING starts!! It was a pretty fun day, minus the strep.

Oh, psst...Macey's Grocery Store is doing a Dr. Seuss Celebration this Saturday. From 11-1. Cookie decorating, stories, and more.
