Trick-or-Treat...Smell my feet...

Happy Halloween!
Love,
The Ferguson's
The Exterminator killing the bugs.
I finished Clint's costume just in time, phew!
The kids did amazing walking around this year, we didn't even have to push a stroller. The weather cleared up just in time. It was nice!
We have so much candy, I gained 15lbs. just looking at it!!

BOO at the ZOO!

We started our Halloween Celebrations with Trick-or-Treating at the zoo! Since we have a membership, we thought it would be really fun for a change. The kids had a great time, we got lot's of candy, the weather was not too hot or too cold, and the animals were really active. Except the Monkeys they must have been tired. It was a great way to start the day, but holy cow it was PACKED!!

Wal-Mart

Okay so this is one of my, "I need to vent posts". I went to Wal-Mart today to have an item price matched, because I didn't have a chance to make it out to Roberts Crafts. (It's so far away). I get to the checkout so excited that I am finally going to get the Cricut Design Studio, even though I have to wait until Christmas to have it, I was finallllly going to get it. She rings it up, and has to have the CSR (customer service rep) come over to approve it. I guess if you price match over $5.00, they have to approve it. He walks over looks at everything, then tells me, "We don't price match Roberts Crafts." I was like what?? Apparently they are a specialty store, and it's too expensive to price match their store. So then she re-rings it up and tells me, so your total is $65.00. I was like..um, no I don't want it now. I will wait until it goes on sale again, and drive to Roberts. So then I get on-line to look up the "Official Price Matching Rules". So here they are:
•We do honor "Preferred Shopping Card" advertised prices. Must be like items, be advertised and require a competitor's shopping card, for the discount to apply.
•We do not honor advertisements that require a purchase in order to receive the advertised price or free product.
•We do not honor "Buy One / Get One Free" advertisements.
•We do not honor double or triple coupons or percent off advertisements.
•We do not honor other retailers' "Misprinted" advertised prices.
•We do not honor Internet Pricing.
•We do not honor competitor advertisements from outside of the store's or Club's local trade territory.
Well maybe I am dumb, but it says nothing about a specialty store in there at all! Ugh, Wal-Mart!

Parades & Pumpkins

The boys made it home from the Deer Hunt just in time for their school's costume parade. They spent the day in their costumes, and having class parties! We carved pumpkins tonight. I was glad we got around to them, cause we were running out of time! I bought the Pumpkin Carving Cricut Cartridge a while back, and was so excited to use it. It basically cuts a stencil for you to use while carving. It turned out pretty fun-I think! Addy picked a spooky cemetery scene. Tyson picked Frankenstein. Preston choose a spooky Jack-o-Lantern face. A.J. free handed his pumpkin...I wish we could all have his talent.

Dinosaur Park 2010

We were able to go to the Haunted Dinosaur Park again this year. All Ogden City School District employee's were able to bring their families for free. Since my Mom works at Madison we took that opportunity. I was kind of bummed my boys weren't there. They would have had more fun then the girls did. Kaitlon had no clue that it was scary, and ran around like a crazy!! :) She loved it!
While Addy on the other hand has realized that things scare her. She stayed in that stroller all night! She wouldn't even get out to Trick-or-Treat! We had to push her up to the people distributing candy!
I did get her out once, to TRY for a good picture. Ya, that picture didn't happen! :) This was the best I got!
We are grateful that my Mom took us, we had a fun evening with her!

HUNTING

Clint loves hunting, sometimes too much. I guess it's one of those things I have to love about him, but I am not sure why he does it. :) This year he wanted to take the boys. They left Thursday afternoon and have been gone since then. It has reminded me, a little too much, of how nice it is to only have 2 kids. It's been so quiet. No fighting, wrestling, screaming, Addy sure can talk though! I was able to steal these pictures from my SIL's facebook page. I got to talk to them last night, they are having fun, but they are cold and wet. They have tried twice to shoot a Buck, and haven't been fast enough. They were going to try a little more today, then head home.
I think it's awesome Clint shared this experience with them. I sure hope he doesn't draw out next year...but don't tell him I said that! ;)

The "Graciedo"

Why is it... that every time I remember to take a picture of Addy's hair... she has managed to mess it up!? So I remembered to quickly snap this one today, before it got anymore messed up. We call this the "Graciedo". Only for the fact that my friend who showed me how to do this style--does it to her daughter--who's name happens to be Gracie! So you just start with little ponytails at the front. Then divide each one in 1/2, bringing it together with the 1/2 of the little ponytail next to it. The only ponytails you don't divide in 1/2 are the last ones on both sides. Hope that makes sense. Pull it into a big ponytail, a messy bun, leave it down, curl, whatever. It just looks fun.

Costume Sneak Peek

This year we are all going as bugs for Halloween! I have been very excited about this, because I am making Clint dress up with us this year! So here is a sneak peek of our costumes… Addyson is the Bumblebee. (Had to snap a couple of her hair!! ;]) Tyson is a Spider. Kaitlon is our Ladybug, cause she is our Katie Bug. Preston is a Fly. I am dressing up as a Butterfly. The reason I am so excited about Clint’s costume… he is going as the Orkin Man/Bug Exterminator. I can’t wait to get us all dressed up together. In the meantime we had a Halloween Party to go to, and couldn’t resist some snapshots of the kids!! 002 004 005 007 008 011

A Haunted House!

A friend of mine bought the kids a Haunted House Kit. It's just like a Gingerbread house, but for Halloween. It was a lot of fun to put together...and I hate putting Gingerbread Houses together! They always fall over. This one was staying up pretty well, then it started to cave in. So I pulled out the hot glue gun! I am glad that I did, we got a little carried away with it, and made spider webs! It was a fun afternoon. The kids had a blast, and it was a great after school activity. Our neighbor, and Tyson's best friend helped too!!! :) It is now our table centerpiece!! ;)
