○Easter Sunday○

So I will admit--I kind of blew off the Easter fun this year. We didn't attend any fun egg hunts or even really do anything that exciting. It turned out wonderful anyway. We did little buckets of treats for the kids (from the Easter Bunny). We did get the boys a Season Pass to Toads Fun Zone. They had a deal that if we got bought 3 we could get 1 for free. Clint and I got one, too. I am kind of looking forward to the boys being able to go over and play. They love mini golf, baseball, and laser Tag. Plus, it will hopefully give us a free date night from time to time. The girls just got a couple small treats and a movie. We got all dressed up and even managed to be to church early. Clint ended up being called into work--so it was a bummer that he couldn't spend the day with us. After church, we had a wonderful dinner with my Mom. I am still full!! I ate way too much!!! Three of Clint's sisters came up to visit with us--which was nice. We don't get to see his family that often. Now we are relaxing and enjoying the day.

I have been so overwhelmed with the spirit today. I even had to fight back the tears while I was teaching Primary. I can only imagine what those little 5/6 year olds were thinking. Then I came home and was reading some things about Easter on http://www.lds.org/ (love that site!). I came across this Easter Declaration. It sums up my thoughts and feelings of this blessed day.

CrAzY BaLlOoN MaN!

My husband has many talents. One he developed shortly after we married was the ability to make Balloon Animals. Lately, he has decided to share this talent with our kids and the kids he works with. At first I thought, Great. Share away! Now that my house is filled with Balloons, I am thinking otherwise. Here are just some of his creations... This is a swan. Preston actually made this one. Clint walked him through it.
This is a turtle. Hopefully you can see it. The head/neck, shell, feet. It actually slides on to your wrist.
And a motorcycle. Every little boy wants one of those.

With everyone trying--I decided to try. Here is my attempt at a dog. I don't enjoy doing them. I was afraid it was going to pop every time I twisted. Plus, that scrunching noise, it makes me cringe!

I went to the movies with my brother on Saturday evening. When I got home Clint had made these for me. I can honestly say I have never received balloon flowers before this.

We went to Lehi on Sunday to welcome my Sister-In-Law home, from her mission. He started making them at the little luncheon. I laughed and told everyone he was a clown. You should have seen the amount of people waiting for balloons. I felt bad--kids were leaving in tears, because they hadn't gotten one. I am seriously considering "Renting" him out for parties.

Preston's First Pinewood Derby

Oh, the Pinewood Derby! We started working on Preston's car in March, I think. We didn't finish until 20 minutes before the race. Lot's of factors played into that. Like, Clint's car breaking down in the middle of Salt Lake the evening before. (Forcing him to stay there--because I was sound asleep by the time he got off work.) BUT we got it done and just in time. Preston won 2 out of 4 races. He finished 7Th overall. We are really grateful for experiences like this for our kids. I really enjoy the Cub Scout program (Even though I feel like I am the worst Mom at helping him earn his awards.) This was Preston's car. He didn't name it. That's him in the front.

ApRiL FoOLs!!

April Fool's Day Dinner Menu: Fish Sticks, Peas, Ketchup on the side.Did I fool you? I sure fooled them!! They did end up having fish sticks and peas.Here is what I fed them the first time...Fish Sticks: Wafer cookies covered in peanut butter and coated with corn flakes. Peas: Rolled up green airheads. Ketchup: Strawberry Jelly.

I LOVED hearing all about the "Fooling" going on at school. Preston & Tyson also get me with their own joke. Oh, they got me--good! :)
