"Wii" DaNcE!!

Some of my co-workers have never had the opportunity to play Wii Dance. Since it is my FAVORITE we planned a work party. It was supposed to be at the school, but the TV didn't like the Wii. We ended up at my house--which turned out to be fun! Even the kids who came were having a good time. We played Just Dance 1 & 2, and Michael Jackson (I really like that one!) It was way stinky down here after the party concluded. I still can't believe what a workout you get with those!!

Chicken and Veggie Teriyaki Rice Bowls

I have been trying to be more creative in my meals, lately. Especially since Clint has gotten laid off...and we can't just run out to eat things we are craving! I love stir-fry, and my family tolerates it. I had the idea to try and mix it up--and let me just say it was a BIG hit! I found several recipes for Teriyaki sauce on google, but I took the easy route and just bought a bottle. This is what I did...

○ 2-3 pre-cooked Chicken Breast
○ Stir-Fry Veggies (I just used frozen stir-fry veggies--cause I was in a hurry)
○3-4 cups of Rice (That was plenty)
○ 1 bottle of Teriyaki Sauce

Cook veggies and chicken in pan. When warm put the sauce all over the veggies and chicken. Let it simmer in for about 10 minutes. Then put the veggies on top of the rice, and serve.

Ultimate Dress-Up!

Addy is a fun spirited, very girly, curious 3 yr. old! She loves playing dress-ups! Today I was cleaning my bedroom, and for some reason she wanted to see what was in my Hope Chest. I opened it for her, and she was so excited to see my wedding dress. She had to try it on--and I just had to let her! It was one of those sweet little moments! I just can't believe that in 20 (+) years--she will be doing that for real!

???

I am not sure what to title this post, but I figured it would probably be good to document this experience. Not sure why. Maybe to look back one day and be grateful. I think I will write about this experience weekly.
It's been 2 days since we found out Clint lost his job. Oh my, there has been some drama! Clint is feeling very frustrated, and I don't think he quite knows what to think/do. The "drama" I am referring to has nothing to do with Clint. It's just interesting seeing, no hearing...how things are playing out at the Ranch.
Since all of this has started (in November)...Clint has applied for at least 10-12 jobs. None of them have called. In the past 2 days he has applied for 2 more, and we are hoping one of them come through. He was able to talk to someone within the state JJS (Juvenile Justice System), and was approved to take the Counselor Test the next time it comes open. (Which the inside source said will be soon.) That doesn't guarantee him a job, and more then likely he wont get one...but it is a step in the right direction.
Unemployment has already been fun... I'm not sure if it's the 4+ hours waiting on hold to talk to someone, or if it's the fact that Clint's in school so his unemployment has to be "audited". By "audited", I mean approved. I am not sure I completely understand all the rules they have. I mean...they want us to go to school...so we have careers, better lifestyles, so later on down the road we don't have to work "Dead End Jobs". But because Clint is trying to do that, we may not be approved for unemployment. Hmm?! Obviously we need to have it too. I mean we have young children, bills, expenses, things that have to be taken care of.
I have been able to pick up some extra hours at work, but it isn't consistent hours. It's just whatever extra they may have, I may be able to work them. (If teachers call in sick, or want to leave early, etc...) It's hard for me--I already feel like my home is falling apart. I know it isn't, it's just a little stressed. The kids are picking up on stuff...Addy had a 5 minute "Phone Conversation" today. She said, "Do you have a job?--No.--Daddy needs a job.--Well I have a job.--Okay, bye!" It's amazing what they pick up on.
In good news, my brother A.J. did find a job. He is working as a temp to hire at Autoliv. It's hard-- he goes to school, goes strait to work, gets home late, and goes to bed. I think it will take some adjusting for him, but I am glad he has something. It doesn't pay much, but enough for his bills/expenses. My Dad has also had a little better luck. He has a job interview with a Company in West Virginia. They are flying him out on Wednesday for an interview. Hopefully that will bring him some good news. However, I really don't want my Dad to leave Utah without me! Just kidding, sort of! Not to mention the kids have loved Clint being here, and he did put away all the laundry this week. :)
We are trying to stay positive, and up beat. We know we have lot's of love, and support. I truly feel bad for Clint. It was hard to see all of this happen to him. He loved working with the youth, and is really bummed. He is disappointed knowing he will (more then likely) go back to something outside of his field. I hope none of you are thinking that I am complaining when I write these posts, it just keeps me sain to be able to put it out there. Journal it, and vent it out of my system. This will be an experience for sure, and I am sure there is an important life lesson here somewhere. It reminds me of something someone told me once, "Sometimes we have trials for ourselves, and sometimes we go through trials because of others." I am grateful to those of you have text, or sent messages. I appreciate you all!

She's Not Puzzled!!

I just love this video! I think she's pretty smart for only being 18 months, but I am kind of prejudice! :)

New Year, New Changes, and New Resolutions...

New Years Eve was fun. We were able to visit Clint's family and play the dice game. We won some cool prizes! Then we headed down to my Dad's to bring in the New Year! I think I am getting old, cause I was done at about 10:00. We did have fun dancing with my Just Dance 1 & 2, and my new game Michael Jackson The Experience! I even got my Step Brother to do it, so it was very entertaining! Kaitlon woke up at 3:00 am, screaming her little heart out. I think she was scared, but I couldn't calm her down. After an hour of her crying, my Dad came in to the room. He gave Kaitlon a sucker and told her to go to bed!?! It was funny! It worked, but still...a sucker?!

Preston is in Senior Primary now! Ugh. I think I am more sad about that, then I was about Kaitlon going to Nursery. My little Addy is now a Sunbeam! I was going to take a picture of her on Sunday, but completely forgot. It was so nice to be home at 12, but I am really going to miss sleeping in (if you can call it that).
More, and more drama with Clint's job! They cut his wages--and she is refusing to pay him anything but the new wage. Please friends, keep us in your prayers...we really need Clint to find a new job...and FAST!

My friend gave me this cricut cartridge for a late Christmas gift! I am so excited to use it!! I just wanted to tell you all that random and useless information. ○○○
With the new year, it is only tradition to make resolutions. I don't normally do this, because I am too busy or stressed to think about it. I think I did make a couple last year, and I did follow through with them. This year I had no intentions of making one, because I am being grumpy. (Mainly due to Clint's work stuff) Then something amazing happened, my boss' Mom brought in these shelves to use at our school. Well long story short...we had no use for them at school, so I got to have one!! For free!! :) I immediately went home, and organized all of my scrapbook paper onto the shelf! It didn't take long to fill this bad boy up, and I was kinda shocked at all the crap I had! I mean I am not even using it! Take a look at the picture on the very top I have kits. On the right I have kits I have bought over the years, on the left I have kits I have made--or gotten from scrapbook swaps! So I decided I am going to start scrapbooking again! I think I am just going to pick a night once a month, invite anyone who wants to come, and get busy!!
Well after seeing my neatly organized paper, I decided to organize everything! So I got busy!! Like I said I have a lot of junk! {Oh, Claudy I think I found my Corner paper punch. (If you still need it--I couldn't find it before!)}
I tried to be frugal with my organizing... so I used my "hoarding stash" of formula cans to separate my ribbon in! I can't wait to get started!!

I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!!
